Hi, my name is Mark. I've been building the Hanping Chinese apps full-time since 2009 as an independent app developer. What to expect from the Pro version:

• AnkiDroid Flashcards support (bulk export as well as auto-export when a Chinese word is starred/tagged) for studying using Anki flashcards (spaced repetition system)
• Backup/Restore starred/tagged Chinese words, notes and history
• Over 7,000 example sentence translations
• 376 additional Hanzi Stroke Animations (839 total) - single-character headwords auto-animate. For multi-character headwords, use long-press
• New History screen grouping items by date. If you prefer the old history style, then you can revert in the Settings screen
• Stars and custom tags now also show in search results and word popups
• Support for HSK 3.0 (as well as 2.0) and the ability to import predefined lists as custom tags. For example, this gives you more control over what, if any, HSK tags show next to each headword

The Pro version offers even more features, including support for AnkiDroid Flashcards with bulk export and auto-export when a Chinese word is starred/tagged. It also allows you to backup/restore starred/tagged Chinese words, notes, and history. Additionally, it provides over 7,000 example sentence translations, 376 additional Hanzi Stroke Animations (839 in total), a new History screen that groups items by date (with the option to revert to the old style), the display of stars and custom tags in search results and word pop-ups, support for HSK 3.0 and the ability to import predefined lists as custom tags, giving you more control over the appearance of HSK tags next to each word.

The app offers additional in-app purchases, including 8,735 Hanzi stroke animations, the ABC Chinese-English dictionary with grammar explanations and example sentences, English-headword ABC English-Chinese dictionaries, multi-syllable audio pronunciations of HSK 2.0 multi-syllable words (levels 2-5) by a native speaker (unlocks tone pairs in the Soundboard screen), and multi-syllable audio pronunciations of HSK 2.0 multi-syllable words (level 6) by a native speaker.
